Rick’s practice focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and real estate and business transactions. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Monterey County Bar Association, and the Trust and Estate Sections of the California State and Monterey County Bar Associations. He is rated “AV-Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell.
Rick earned his B.A. degree in economics from University of California, Davis. He earned his J.D. and Masters in Business degrees from the Santa Clara School of Law, and Santa Clara Leavey School of Business. He served as a judicial extern for Justice Stanley Mosk, California Supreme Court.
Rick has been an active volunteer in a variety of organizations on the Monterey Peninsula over the past three decades, including membership and leadership positions on the boards and committees of the Community Foundation for Monterey County (President of Board); Monterey Credit Union; Rotary Club of Monterey (President of Board); Monterey Bay Swim Club (President of Board); Santa Catalina School; Monterey Peninsula College President’s Circle Committee; California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) Planned Giving Committee (Chair); CSUMB Foundation; Hospice Foundation of the Central Coast; Monterey Peninsula United Way; Monterey Peninsula/Legacy Water Polo Club (President of Board); and others.
